Calor Gas At IntraLogisteX 2020

Calor Intralogistex Stand Design
Will you be attending the now rescheduled IntraLogisteX in Coventry? If so, why not pop along and say hello.

IntraLogisteX

See you at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry! Stand 504 | 1st October – 2nd October 2020

IntraLogisteX is the fastest growing annual exhibition for the logistics industry. It’s packed with everything you need to improve productivity, safety, maximise space and cut costs. If you’ve got any questions about fuel for FLTs, our experts will be on-hand to help, while our Business Development Manager and BioLPG Expert, Adrian Heath, will be presenting ‘Driving the way to sustainability: Bio LPG for Logistics and LNG for Road Transport’. You won’t want to miss it.

BioLPG for Logistics

It is clear that increasingly stringent legislation designed to tackle air pollution will have the biggest impact on businesses using diesel forklift trucks, especially those that are operating with older models. But contrary to common belief, going electric is not the only option.

BioLPG is chemically identical to LPG but it’s not a fossil fuel. It’s made from a blend of waste, residues and sustainably sourced materials, and Calor’s green tariff businesses can achieve carbon emissions by 20-32% compared to conventional LPG*. BioLPG can not only cut their emissions of particulate matter, but also lower their carbon footprints.

BioLPG works just like conventional LPG so there's no need to change existing equipment, vehicles or supply infrastructure if you are already using LPG. To support customers in reducing their carbon emissions, Calor is now offering this sustainable fuel, BioLPG, to FLT customers at no extra cost.

With BioLPG now available on the market, logistics and warehousing operators can take advantage of the power and operational efficiencies offered by LPG forklift trucks and stay compliant – whilst dramatically lowering their carbon emissions at the same time.

LNG for Road Transport

For decades, diesel has been the default option for vehicle fleets. But all that is changing. Now there are other, better choices on the market that give the same performance in terms of power, acceleration and cruising speed, but with added financial and environmental benefits. LNG from Calor has strong environmental benefits making it a better choice for anyone who cares about protecting the planet for future generations.

LNG is, quite simply, natural gas in liquid form. Gas becomes liquid when cryogenically cooled to -162°C and takes up to 600 times less space than natural gas, making it easier – and more cost-effective – to transport and store.

LNG-powered trucks have comparable performance to diesel vehicles in terms of power, acceleration and cruising speed, but can cut CO2 by between 10% and 20%, dependent upon duty cycle and vehicle type**. Moreover LNG frees your HGVs to travel in Low Emissions Zones as the latest generation of natural gas-powered vehicles complies with Euro VI emissions standards.
