Adam Thompson - Finance Director (joined as Business Systems Manager)

Time at Calor: 3 years 5 months

“I am fortunate enough to work across many different areas of our business, from IT to Facilities, Finance to Customer Service. My focus is not just on control but also ensuring that the company takes its commercial opportunities and maximises the result, both financially and strategically from them. There is a strong culture of pride at Calor, both in how we perform as individuals and as a whole company. The resulting work environment is very much about ‘getting things done’, both on time and sustainably. This makes for a competitive, engaging and dynamic working life, which you wouldn’t necessarily expect in the gas industry.”

Richard Adams - Calor Centre Team Leader

“I joined the company over 13 years ago as an HGV driver and through hard work and career development I’ve now achieved the position of Calor Centre team leader. I work as part of a great team within a good company and envisage working here for a long time to come.”

Jason Esser - Financial Planning Manager

"My teams and I support the senior managers of the company in a number of areas including acquisitions, budgets, forecasting, strategy, treasury, management information, stock control, investment appraisal and post investment reviews. Calor is a great size business: compact enough to allow individuals to have an input in many different aspects of the company, yet large enough to allow personal progression and development.”

Barry Burk - Position: LGV Driver

"I am a mini bulk driver and every day I am driving and delivering LPG to customers in my area. It’s great working for Calor because I can go for a drive around the countryside and meet a new set of interesting people every day. “My main responsibility is to reconcile the cash received in our bank against the cash our Calor Centres have banked, but it’s never this simple! I have found Calor to be a fantastic company to work for. My time here has taught me so much about working with others, team building and the financial aspect of the company. Calor has provided me with help and guidance, both on a professional and personal level.”
