The Think Tank^®

We’ve reached another milestone with our Think Tank^® telemetry system, having installed our 25,000^th unit.

As we all know, LPG is the closest alternative to mains gas, but with The Think Tank^® your customers really won’t notice the difference. By constantly monitoring tank levels, their Calor LPG can be automatically topped up when required – without any action on their part – so they should never run out of gas.

Last year we rolled out GSM/GPRS enabled telemetry technology, which ensures The Think Tank^® is available for a wider range of properties. Being GPRS enabled, this new version of The Think Tank^® doesn’t rely on phone lines, and communication with Calor’s main computer remains free of charge.

Calor Account Online

Last year we launched Calor Account Online, enabling our domestic customers to access their account details 24 hours a day. Updated in real time, the interactive service offers customers greater control over their LPG supply as well as providing essential advice and exclusive offers. New for 2008 is a secure online payment facility, and customers that haven’t signed up for automatic deliveries can order their gas here too.

At www.caloraccountonline.co.uk customers will find useful information, separated into clear, easily accessible sections. They can view essential details about their account and LPG deliveries, and can also submit tank level readings if they think they’ve used more or less LPG than usual.

Calor Account Online features frequently asked questions, contact details for local Calor depots and advice on managing an LPG supply when moving home. With so much information available at the click of a mouse, it has never been simpler for customers to find answers to their Calor LPG questions.

CalorBase

We are currently trialing CalorBase, a new above-ground tank site preparation service for domestic customers. Usually, homeowners source their own builder to complete the ground preparation work before an LPG bulk tank is installed. If introduced across the country, CalorBase will take all that hassle away, making LPG an easier choice for homeowners, and of course an easier sell for installers.
