1. The promoter of this grant scheme is Calor Gas Limited (company number 303703) of Athena House, Athena Drive, Tachbrook Park, Warwick CV34 6RL (the “Promoter”).
2. The grant is available to new domestic customers switching from an existing electricity or solid fuel heating system supply and purchasing a qualifying domestic LPG central heating system from the Promoter (i.e. any such system available from the Promoter including a boiler) and is also subject to installation by the Promoter’s CalorForce engineers.
3. To register, please fill in the online form and you will be contacted by the Promoter. Please note that this promotion will end on 31st December 2012.
4. Qualifying applicants will be awarded a grant towards the cost of installing a qualifying LPG home heating system as set out in condition 2 above at either standard level or higher level for those aged 70 or over or on defined benefits.
5. If you are eligible for a grant you will be contacted by the Promoter to arrange a sales visit and an engineer will also need to conduct a site survey. You will then be provided with a quotation for your chosen qualifying domestic LPG central heating system, to be installed by the Promoter’s CalorForce engineers and you will have 90 days to accept the quotation and enter into a contract with the Promoter for the purchase of the chosen qualifying LPG heating system.
6. Successful applicants will be invoiced for the qualifying heating system [on installation / in advance of installation] by the Promoter’s CalorForce engineers and the amount of the grant awarded will be deducted from the invoice by the Promoter.
7. The higher level of grant is available to: (i) those aged 70; or (ii) those in receipt of one of the following benefits:
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Attendance Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- War Disablement Pension which includes either a Mobility Supplement or Constant Attendance Allowance
- State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit where the relevant annual income is £15,592 or less
- Working Tax Credit where the relevant annual income is £15,592 or less
8. Applicants for the higher level of grant will be required to provide evidence to the Promoter’s sales person of proof of age where 70 or over (e.g. passport, driving licence, birth certificate) or proof of entitlement to a qualifying benefit as set out in condition 8 above.
9. No cash alternative is available and grants will only be awarded in respect of a qualifying LPG heating system purchased from the Promoter.
10. All grants are awarded at the sole discretion of the Promoter and the Promoter is not obliged to enter into a contract to provide a qualifying domestic LPG central heating system if the Promoter reasonably believes that it is not practicable to do so.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw this scheme in its entirety (save in respect of a customer whose award of a grant by the Promoter has been confirmed in writing) or amend the terms of this scheme at any time.
12. This promotion may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Customers who are in receipt government benefits through Warmfront will not be eligible for this promotion.
13. By making an application for a grant you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
14. These terms and conditions are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with English law.
15. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion of the Promoter.
16. No cash alternative is available.
17. In the event of unforseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to alter this offer and substitute of equal or greater value.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice, if in its opinion, events or circumstances occur outside its control.
