About Team AON

Team Aon may be a new name to the BTCC with a new car, but the outfit behind the entry isn't.

» Arena International Motorsport

The car is being run by Arena International Motorsport who was founded in 1999 by Mike Earle.

The team made its racing debut in the British Touring Car Championship and has evolved to become Team Aon.

After an unproductive stint with Renault and Honda, Team Aon came back with a full time sports car team in 2008 running two Ford Focus STs. Since then the STs have evolved into the pair which are lining up on the grid for this season.

2010 marked the start of an exciting new collaboration with Calor in order to allow Team Aon to benefit from the cutting edge LPG technology which Calor can provide.

This season, with its Calor LPG powered engines and two young and talented drivers in the forms of Tom Chilton and Tom Onslow Cole, Team Aon is set to be a serious challenger for pole position in the BTCC in 2010.
