LPG the facts

  • LPG has the lowest carbon emissions out of all the fossil fuels available in non-mains gas areas and emits 11.7 per cent less co₂ per kWh than heating oil1..

  • LPG can be used alongside renewable technologies such as solar and is increasingly seen as a fuel for the future.

  • Calor endeavours to offer price stability by giving fixed prices for a period of time₂.

  • Installation and set up cost is on average £2,500 less than oil₃.

  • LPG is convenient and versatile - it can fuel central heating, water heating, fires and cookers with a real and controllable flame.

  • The LPG bulk tank can be conveniently concealed underground.

Solar thermal heating systems are the most popular renewable energy product on the market today, meeting today’s building regulations cost-effectively. They utilise the sun’s radiation – the most abundant energy source available to us, to heat a household’s hot water, from the shower to the dishwasher.

Combining an LPG condensing boiler with solar thermal water heating dramatically reduces energy bills and improves the home’s sustainability, without expensive installation or maintenance costs. Calor LPG is the fuel of choice for non-mains gas areas, with the lowest carbon emissions of any fossil fuel available.*

Calor a better choice

Working together to provide todays solutions

Calor are always investing in new technology to keep customers warm, and have joined forces with Baxi to offer even more.Committed to innovation, technology and excellence since 1866, Baxi provide the largest range of low carbon technology for the home.

How does it work?

Solar thermal flat plate collectors or evacuated tubes are positioned on the building’s roof. They absorb energy from sunlight, and in some cases, daylight. This energy is transferred into a fluid, which is circulated around the system, heating up to 50% of the home’s hot water, from the washing machine to the bath.

Did you know?

Solar panels can provide effective energy even on grey days. For optimum benefits flat plate collectors should be installed on a southfacing roof, angled between 35° and 45°. Evacuated tubes can be installed on a pitched or flat roof as well as building façades.
