» Inspection

The inspection consists of the following:

  • Site Inspection to UKLPG COP 1 and UKLPG COP 20. In particular:
  • No buildings, power cables or equipment have been located within the separation distances
  • Trees, shrubs or excessive vegetation have not grown into the separation distances or over/above the vessels.
  • No storage of non LPG gas cylinders, oil drums, flammable materials or rubbish is within the separation distances.
  • Crash protection is provided suitable for the site operation.
  • Vessel Inspection to confirm the vessel is in good condition, not due a “In Service” or “Thorough” examination.
  • Vessel Valve Inspection for condition and leaks.
  • Hoses are checked for condition and damage. Hoses over 5 years old are exchanged.
  • Brass Shear valves are checked for signs of damage and leaks.
  • Pull Away Couplings are checked for function and greased if required.
  • Hose End Guns are checked for condition and function. They are replaced if not satisfactory. The front seals are changed on De-Visser bayonet guns used on Autogas.
  • Pumps are checked for function, condition, damage, leaks and bolting down. Where required seals are greased.
  • Meters are checked for calibration in accordance with UKLPG COP 19 part 1.
  • Any Calor 29 litre refillable cylinders rented by the customer are checked to confirm they are in date and not due a periodic test. If a test is required, arrangements are made for their exchange.
