Calor Village of the Year®
Calor have been supplying the countryside with gas in cylinders and bulk tanks for over 70 years. The Calor Village of the Year® competition is our way of supporting customers in rural communities and encouraging rural sustainability.
The competition is not about pretty window boxes and the village green. The entry categories cover a variety of community issues from contribution to the village's young people, to the environment and the elderly.
Circa 1,650 villages enter the competition each year and not only have a great deal of fun preparing an entry but also reap real benefits from working together to engender a real sense of community spirit.
The Calor Village of the Year® web site gives full details on how to enter, ideas from past winners on how to develop community projects and how they have used their prize money to improve the quality of local life.
