One of Calor’s leading sales managers has reached for the stars and won the coveted ‘Rising Star’ award at the prestigious British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA).
Paul Hardwick, national account manager at Calor, received the accolade for the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) ‘Student of the Year’ award.
The ISMM is dedicated to promoting the standards of excellence within the sales and marketing industry and the BESMA awards are the highest recognition within the industry.
Commenting on the award, Paul Hardwick said: “I went onto the ISMM course with clear goals and objectives, and being nominated for this award was beyond my expectations.
“My award submission included a range of ideas and Calor has actually implemented these, which is great as I now see the theory being put into practice. As a result, a new personal development and mentoring programme has been put in place at Calor.”
Paul faced stiff competition in the preliminary rounds to reach the final and has recently achieved a distinction in the ISMM Advanced Certificate in Sales and Marketing as part of the Calor Sales Academy programme.
Calor is the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) with over 70 year’s experience in providing LPG solutions to businesses across a range of markets in non mains gas areas.
The event was attended by over 400 guests from some of the UK’s largest companies and Paul was presented with his award by Sheila Watson-Challis, chairman of the ISMM.
