Chrysler Building to Birmingham Airport - Beauty Really is in the Eye Of The Beholders Says Calor

A new survey commissioned by the UK’s leading provider of liquefied petroleum gas, Calor, has found that when it comes to inspirational architecture, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

A survey of today’s construction professionals undertaken at the recent Interbuild show has uncovered that when it comes to inspiration, we are as different as chalk and cheese.

New York’s art deco Chrysler Building, Christopher Wren’s St. Paul’s Cathedral, York Minster, Europe’s largest Gothic cathedral and even the controversial Millennium Dome all float the boats of the construction industry. In addition, and perhaps more interesting, is that Birmingham Airport and Coventry Transport Museum also made the short list.

Calor’s marketing executive Alison Wong believes the results demonstrate that one size doesn’t fit all: “It would be a very dull world if all our buildings were the same. Our survey shows that there’s an audience out there for a diverse mix of architecture and we should continue to celebrate both new and old.”

Calor works closely with developers and architects to provide a rural fuel solution for developments in non mains gas areas. The company provides a service to developers and architects to help them identify the most suitable fuel storage solution where mains gas is not available. Calor representatives can advise on supply issues, bulk tank storage, underground and above ground tank siting, energy efficiency, different types of heating solutions and the regulations associated with the use of LPG.

Calor has developed a CPD presentation for RIBA and CIBSE members to provide comprehensive and essential knowledge and information about LPG. The seminars are especially useful for professionals involved with rural housing developments, which in most instances will require a non-mains gas fuel.

For further information on Calor’s vast distribution network, bulk tank safety checks and additional benefits of LPG, log on to www.calorhousing.co.uk or email enquiries@calorlinks.co.uk. Alternatively, call Calor’s dedicated developer support team on 01902 429954.
