After
six months stored in a shed or garage, how can you tell
if your alfresco appliances are fit to be fired up?
Make sure your barbecue and patio heater are in full
working order when they are wheeled out for the summer
with a free appliance health check by Calor Alfresco.
Calor Alfresco has introduced the free Alfresco Appliance
Health Check at all of its Calor Gas Direct outlets
to ensure that patio heaters and barbecues are in tip
top condition and safe to use in the warm days ahead.
Calor’s check is a nine point visual inspection
that is carried out by a Calor representative. The check
covers everything from the condition of ignitors, burners
and connection hoses, to making sure that the appliances’
anti-tilt shut-off devices (where fitted) are in good
working order.
To receive a free Alfresco Appliance Health Check,
simply telephone 0800 662 663 to locate
your nearest Calor Gas Direct retailer, then take in
your appliances and leave the rest to the professionals.
Alternatively, some Calor Gas Direct retailers will
perform the check when delivering gas cylinders. Information
about this service is also available at www.caloralfresco.co.uk.
Notes
to editors
A representative will carry out the Alfresco Appliance
Health Check and recommend whether further action is
needed. A full service may be required and is available
from selected Calor retailers, carried out by a CORGI
registered installer at £35 (inc VAT) per appliance,
when delivered and collected by the customer. For details
of participating Calor retailers offering service work,
call freephone 0800 662 663.
Calor does recommend that all gas appliances are serviced
on a regular basis by a fully qualified and competent
CORGI registered installer.
Alfresco Appliance Health Check is only available at
domestic premises (as well as at selected restaurants
and pubs). This check cannot be carried out on larger
commercial installations. For further details, contact
0800 662 663.

Fun and Fundraising for the Whole Family
Why
not hold a barbecue for Calor’s ‘Gift of
the Gas’ campaign? This fundraising initiative
from Calor is encouraging people around the UK to hold
a barbecue during the summer months to help raise funds
for ChildLine. The money raised will help ChildLine
to train more volunteer counsellors and answer more
children calling its free, 24-hour helpline for children
and young people in danger or distress.
