A chef manager at a golf club in Hertfordshire is delighted after winning a day’s training with ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star Jean-Christophe Novelli, thanks to Calor.
David Maidment, 42, from Brickendon Grange Golf Club, in Brickendon, entered the competition at the Calor stand at the Hotelympia exhibition which was held between February 19 and 23 at the ExCel conference centre in London’s Docklands.
The UK’s leading supplier of LPG was giving away a day’s experience at the Novelli Academy, in Tea Green, Hertfordshire.
David, who has been a chef for 26 years and has worked at the golf club for the last five years, said he visited the Calor stand because the golf club was interested in buying some additional Calor LPG-powered equipment for its kitchens.
“The catering at Brickendon Grange is currently running on Calor LPG and we are extremely pleased with the service and product so I was interested in looking at additional equipment for the future.
“I noticed on the Calor stand that there was a chance to win a day’s experience at the Novelli Academy by filling in a simple survey so I just thought I would give it a go.
“I was absolutely delighted when I received a phone call to say I had won. Novelli is one of the best chefs in the world so I am looking forward to picking up some tips from him!” added David.
The celebrity chef, who featured on last year’s hit television show Hell’s Kitchen, will personally guide David through the day and help him prepare, cook and sample some of his famous signature dishes.
