Summer temperatures are on the rise and the UK’s Alfresco market continues to grow as more and more people recognise the benefits of enjoying time outdoors.
The Calor name is synonymous with the modern UK’s passion for Alfresco living. Its popular Patio Gas™ cylinders are used to fuel a variety of gas appliances in gardens up and down the country. Patio Gas™ comes in two sizes: 5kg and 13kg, and both use the same 27mm easy fit clip-on regulator which is compatible with most outdoor appliances, making the cylinders flexible and ultra-convenient. All Patio Gas™ cylinders come fitted with ‘Gas Trac’ ®, a unique device which warns customers when they are running low on gas so that they can plan ahead when buying refills. These technologies – created to make the user experience as simple as possible – means Calor is the number one choice for savvy consumers.
Calor adds to its gas offering with a stylish range of LPG barbecues and patio heaters – all designed to enhance the Alfresco lifestyle. Barbecues range from handy portable models – such as the innovative Cadac CarriChef, which boasts four interchangeable cooking surfaces so that you can boil, bake, grill, roast, fry, stir-fry and barbecue – to impressive ‘super-barbecues’, such as the top-of-the-range Broil King Imperial 790.
The contemporary patio heaters from the Calor range allow consumers to extend the life of their gardens so that they can unwind in the fresh air on cooler evenings and even enjoy dining al fresco during the spring months. New and improved technology means that Calor’s range includes some of the most energy-efficient models on the market.
Also, Calor has recently launched its innovative ‘Calor Carbon Offset Programme’ for LPG patio heaters as part of its ongoing commitment to minimise the effect of its business and products on climate change. It will now offset CO2 emissions from the production and distribution of its 13kg Patio Gas™ cylinders while offering its customers a one or five-year package to offset the CO2 emitted whilst using their patio heaters. This is a first for the industry and was accompanied by a high-profile media launch.
To back up its range of Alfresco products, Calor offers a complete service package to its customers – offering everything from home delivery to appliance healthchecks.
The quick, convenient home gas delivery service is offered through Calor’s UK network of Calor Gas Direct outlets. Customers can order Patio Gas™ by phone or online and once the delivery driver has carried the new cylinder into the house or garden, they will also take away empty cylinders – making the whole process completely hassle-free. And, to make sure all eventualities are covered, Patio Gas™ is also available for self-collection from the 10,000 Calor outlets across the UK. Not only will there always be one nearby but many offer out of hours services too, so it will never be too late to stock up.
Meanwhile, Calor’s free appliance health checks, carried out by Calor Gas Direct outlets, give its customers reassurance that their patio heater or gas barbecue is working efficiently and highlight any visible defects.
With record summer temperatures on their way – Calor is ready for another bumper summer!
