Calor, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), will be demonstrating how businesses can be more energy efficient whilst enjoying financial savings on its stand at Hotelympia (stand N2364). Calor’s new market development manager, Paul Riding, will also be explaining the benefits of energy efficient technology when he sits on the panel at the Energy Management forum in the Sustainable Futures Seminar Theatre on Monday 18th February at 1:00pm.
Energy Efficiency Explained Businesses are under increasing pressure when it comes to energy efficiency with Government targets aimed at reducing carbon emissions becoming ever more stringent. Calor is working alongside a number of manufacturers of renewable and green energy technologies and will demonstrating three of the latest energy solutions at the show.
Technology such as gas heat pumps and combined heat and power units are extremely efficient in terms of energy use as they take ‘free’ heat from the ambient air. LPG is an ideal fuel to power this type of equipment in areas without mains gas as it is a lower carbon producing fuel than both oil and electric.
LPG can also be used as a back up fuel supply to renewable energy solutions, such as solar thermal technology. Calor’s marketing manager, Laura Luty, says visitors to the show looking to reduce their operation’s impact on the environment should visit Calor on stand N2364: “Increasingly businesses are looking at ways of becoming more environmentally aware. Reducing energy usage not only reduces harmful emissions, it also reduces running costs and enables outlets to market their green credentials to customers.” On the stand visitors will be able to view a video case study of three commercial case studies where renewable or green technology is currently in use. The case studies will feature the SANYO gas heat pump, the Baxi DACHS mini-CHP unit and the Andrews SOLARflo water heating system. Laura Luty concludes: “The video case studies shown at the exhibition will give visitors the chance to look at the water heating and space heating and cooling solutions that are currently available and discuss their outlet’s needs with specialists from manufacturers of energy efficient technologies.” Visitors to the stand will also have the chance to enter a prize draw to win bespoke menu advice from leading chef, Colin Capon.*
