Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon

On Sunday 9th October 2011 a Calor team once again participated in The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, a sponsored 13.1 mile run through London's four Royal Parks – Greenwich Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Hyde Park.

» A Right Royal Race!

This year the Calor team was the largest yet, with 14 staff members, including Managing Director Stephen Rennie, donning their running shoes to raise money for Calor’s corporate charity – Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). You can read about who CRY are, and why their work is so important, by following the link below. (Insert link to CRY page)

The team’s ambition was also significantly higher than last year’s, with the initial aim of raising a whopping £15,000 for this worthwhile charity. In the event, the team smashed this target, with their final donation to CRY coming in at an amazing £20,000!

The Calor team was supported by sponsorship from across the business, as well as some very generous donations from some of the company’s customers and suppliers. On behalf of both Calor and CRY, we would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the team, and to thank everybody who supported them in their endeavours. This sizeable sum of money will make a real difference to young people by helping CRY to continue their life-saving work.
