Press Release 12/01/12 - Calor bringing leading UK energy organisations to Exeter with official announcement of new partnerships and certification.

Calor Gas, the UK’s leading supplier of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), hosts a reception today (Thursday 12 January) to launch key partnerships with the Energy Saving Trust and Mark Group, and to celebrate Calor’s achievement of the Carbon Trust Standard.

Calor Gives Evidence to DECC Select Committee

Paul Blacklock, Head of Strategy and Corporate Affairs at Calor Gas Ltd, appeared in front of the Select Committee for Energy and Climate Change this morning (Wednesday 11th January), to present evidence for its inquiry into fuel poverty in the private rented and off-grid sectors.

Paul told the Committee that current Government energy efficiency schemes, such as CERT and CESP, are failing rural residents and to date have not effectively reached the majority of rural households.

Peter Hain MP Visits Calor at Neath

The Calor Wood

Calor’s Stoney site became a hive of tree-planting activity in March 2011, when Midlands-based staff, their families and local school children joined together with the aim of planting a total of 2,500 trees in the creation of the Calor Wood.
