The Future of Rural Energy (FREE)
Started in 2010, Calor is running a 3 year, £1million, rural energy advisorship initiative, aimed at tackling fuel poverty and promoting energy efficiency in off-gas grid rural communities across England, Scotland and Wales.
FREE is a three year £1 million initiative funded by Calor to help tackle fuel poverty and promote effective energy efficiency advice and behaviours in off-gas grid communities across Britain.
Working with Energy Action Scotland, Calor is funding a Strategic Affordable Warmth Fund.
Working with National Energy Action Cymru, Calor will fund and deliver an energy advisorship initiative in key Welsh communities identified as most at risk of Fuel Poverty.
The FREE initiative isn’t only taking place in the UK – similar initiatives are happening across Europe and Calor’s parent company, SHV Gas, has launched the Future of Rural Energy in Europe.
