Calor has a long history of supporting not only the local areas in which we work, but also the rural communities we serve.

The Calor Village of the Year competition promoted sustainable, enterprising and vibrant rural British communities whilst the Calor Community Action Programme continues this ethic by encouraging staff initiatives to support their local community. At a national level, Calor supports a number of individual charitable endeavours as well as ongoing initiatives to raise money for our own corporate charity, CRY.

Calor Village of the Year

Calor developed the Calor Village of the Year competition in 1996 with the specific aim of encouraging sustainable, enterprising and vibrant rural communities across Britain.

Community Action

All Calor staff are entitled to 1 day paid leave each year to give something back to their local community – from volunteering in their local charity shop, to helping re-decorate their local school.
